Land of Punjab an important region of Indo-Genetic plains, considered Gain Bowl of India. The city of Ludhiana is located at 30.55 N and 75.54 E in the state of Punjab in northern India. The city stands on the Grand Trunk Road from Delhi to Amritsar. Ludhiana is now most populated city of Punjab and very rapidly growing metropolitan city. It is on the south bank of one of the five rivers of State i.e. Sutlej river. An important industrial town, Ludhiana in Punjab, is Textile and light engineering centre of India. The rich agricultural area around it supports Asia’s Largest Grain Market in the District. Ludhiana holds world records in food production. Bedsides two world renowned public universities Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) many National and International reputed agricultural research Institutes like Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET), Borlaug Institute in South Asia(BISA), Directorate of Maize Research (DMR) etc. are also situated here.
Ludhiana city is well connected with Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi at a distance of 330 km, Sri Guru Amar Das Ji International Airport, Amritsar at a distance of 135 km and Chandigarh International Airport, Mohali at a distance of 120 km from Ludhiana. Chandigarh International Airport at Mohali (Punjab) offers both domestic as well as International flights. International flights started from countries like Dubai, Sharjah. Bangkok, Singapore etc.

Climate & Weather
The climate of region comprising of 5 seasons namely summer, monsoon, autumn, winter, and spring. Winter starts from the month of October. The weather becomes chilly and frosty only from December to February. So, October and November are primarily post-monsoon seasons, wherein the state receives certain amount of rainfall as well. There is a pleasant weather during October as average day time temperature is 30-32°C and at night it may go down to 14-17°C.
